Electrolysis Hair Removal
If you are looking for a permanent method of hair removal, look no further than our safe and effective electrolysis hair removal treatments administered by our highly trained beauty therapists. Suitable for all genders and all skin types, Electrolysis is a gradual process, so be aware that multiple sessions are required to catch all hairs in a particular area due to the hair growth cycle.
How Does Electrolysis Work?
Electrolysis works by destroying the hair follicle. Our electrologists use a very fine, flexible needle to target individual hair follicles. A small amount of current is applied to thermally destroy the lower part of the follicle (this method is known as Thermolysis), preventing future hair growth from that follicle.
Benefits of Electrolysis Treatments
Electrolysis hair removal offers several benefits, including:
- Electrolysis is the only permanent hair removal method available.
- It is a safe and effective treatment for all skin types and hair colours.
- It can be used to remove hair from any part of the body.
Things to Know About your Electrolysis session
Our therapists are committed to ensuring your comfort throughout the treatment process. While you may experience a slight tingling or minimal discomfort during the procedure, we will endeavour to make you as comfortable as possible for you. The number of sessions needed for optimal results will vary based on the size of the treatment area and the thickness of the hair being removed.
Post Treatment Guidance
After your treatment, there may be some redness and swelling in the treated area, which usually subsides within a couple of hours. Our therapists will apply a soothing aftercare lotion to the treated area to alleviate any heat reaction. We recommend avoiding cleansing the area with soap; instead, gently rinse it with warm water. It is also advisable to refrain from wearing makeup until the day after your treatment. If this is not possible, we suggest using mineral makeup. Additionally, please avoid sun exposure or using a sunbed for at least 24 hours following your electrolysis session.
